Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone began second grade in kindergarten at the age of five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone win Miss Crawford County. Stone and her Aunt in 1977, moved into New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week after. She soon relocated to Europe, spending a year in Milan as well as Paris. Stone became dissatisfied with the fashion industry in Europe but decided to pursue acting instead. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed praises.
