Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered two grades when she was five. She earned a high school diploma at Saegertown located in Saegertown situated in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone winning Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to take on a modeling job and signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency within a month.
