Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted in her early years and entered the second grade when she was five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania is her school of choice for highschool. Her graduation was in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she was also a part of the Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone and her aunt moved from New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. They signed up for an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. After one year of modeling between Milan and Paris and then moving to Europe. Stone unhappy with the world of model within Europe took up acting as she lived in Europe. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews when she was 20.
