Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee in a manufacturing plant. She was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was considered to be an academically talented child when she began the second grades at five. She graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She was also a contestant at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move with her aunt from New Jersey, where she began a modeling career. The following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. Her next move was to Europe where she spent one year living within Milan, Paris and other cities. But, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene and modeling in Europe which led her to take up acting while living there. At 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's film "Stardust Memories," which received mixed reviews.
