Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her mother is English while her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in a council estate in the south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy and performing in numerous stage plays, including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she appeared as Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared on six of the episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her credits in theatre comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 with The drama The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before being cancelled on The CW. The actress was selected in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes of the show's first two seasons as an regular. However, in May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would quit the show due to her guest appearance on the opening episode for its third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played together in Salem.

Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all played hockey and baseball and both in the winter and summer. Ashley was not a walker, but she would dance. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley continued to compete throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. Ashley was awarded the best soloist awards at all of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
