Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is active in films theater as well as television. Her career began as an actor in theater but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her character, she was also awarded and nominations. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. The actress has appeared in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her film career the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her work in television she's received praise for her role in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
